Donating Time to Help Others
Abigail Pace, along with Diana and Cecilia Zito, spent a cold December morning delivering furniture and household items to individuals transitioning out of homelessness in the greater Hartford area. These young women are beautiful examples of how we are all called to actively live our faith by caring for and accompanying others.
Donations Thank You!
Special thanks to all who continue to place donations in the box in support of our youth service projects. Through your support, our teens have been hard at work during this Christmas season, caring for members of our Marlborough community and beyond. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Way To Go Teens!
Special thanks to our Confirmation class and high school teens who decorated multiple gingerbread houses at recent gatherings. These masterpieces are on display for all to enjoy at the Marlborough Health Care Center and senior center.
Lots of Thank You's!
Melissa and the Faith Formation Program would like to thank all the Knights of Columbus who helped at our first Santa Breakfast. A huge thank you to the Council for their $200 donation to cover all the supplies that were needed to cook such a delicious meal. Lastly, thank you to Barbara Gaudette, whose sister make 250 macramé Santa ornaments for this holiday event. There were plenty left over to be given for some holiday baskets for the Youth Group service project, as well as for the library to pass out at the town tree lighting.
Matthew’s Infancy Narrative
When reading Matthew’s Infancy Narrative, think of the challenges both Mary and Joseph faced given their situation and societal norms. Reflect on the utter faith in God that Mary and Joseph had, and think about how we can emulate that faith given the uncertainty of our times. The beauty of sacred scripture is the relevance it has to our daily life when we allow ourselves the privilege of reading it often and using our imagination to place ourselves within the story.
A Note of Appreciation from the Food Bank
“The Marlborough Food Bank is extremely grateful for the recent Thanksgiving food drive. Over 70 bags of Thanksgiving meals were donated and delivered to patrons of the Food Bank. Together with donated turkeys and pies, patrons were able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Thank you again.”
32 Apple Pies Delivered!
